5.5 GR 2 - historic info

Stavros reports from Greece:
"...Apparently, originally meant to be for King Constantine, the boat was delivered to Stavros Niarchos. Niarchos took the 5.5mR to Spetsopoula – his private island South of Spetses – and there it was used as a “toy” for family and guests. The boat sunk off the rocks of Spetsopoula some 15-20 years ago on a strong Westerly. The only thing salvaged was the keel of the boat, that is now ashore decorating Spetsopoula, as all members of the family and staff loved the boat…"

Kungsörs batvarv is stating to have built an Ohlson designed 5.5m boat for King Konstantin. Anyone who can contribute more info, is welcome. It is uncertain, whether the Greek sailnumber was ever issued; here it is stated as a preliminary sailnumber for the record only, to be corrected, when more is known.
