Notes
- Current update on work - 10.12.2008 by Joseph Gelsomino
- She was built for original owner: Fred Obersheimer, Buffalo New York. Joe Gelsomino purchased her from Fred’s son Charlie. Little Sister is in final phase of rebuilding, she has not been in the water since late 70’s and has been stored indoors her entire life.
Work done to date:
-Re-glued keel laminates
-Replaced 110 of 128 frames, mostly steam bent. Laminated larger frames around mast
-Splined 80% of the seams (re-glued by cutting out strips and re-gluing replacement strip/wood with epoxy).
Currently:
-About to re-varnish inside of hull
-Then replace the deck - Bjarne Aas Hull#537 - 10.12.2008 by Joseph Gelsomino
- Bjarne Aas Hull#537, she is the sister ship to GRE-001 (Bjarne Aas Hull#535)

- Taking care of 'Little Sister'
US-52 known as 'Little Sister' will soon be restored by Joe Gelsomino. She is not in very good condition he says, the keel is delaminated, many frames/ribs are broken and seems are opening between the planks. She was launched in 1963 from Bjarne Aas shipyard
