- Struten II became S44 - 29.12.2020 by J Busch
- According to swedish documents Struten II became S44. I have no data on byer or location. Maybe the deal was called off and the boat stayed in Norway?
No sign of Struten(I), maybe she´s one of the mysterious S34 or S35? It would fit in time, the batkort says "sold to Sweden 1961" - 5.5 GER 35 "Struten" - ex N-25 - 15.03.2017 by Kaspar Stubenrauch
- Upon presentation of the measuring certificates for NOR 25 and GER 35, the origin is reconfirmed.
- 5.5 N-25 "Struten II" - 15.10.2009 by Kaspar Stubenrauch
- Wolfgang Courtial is holding an original boatyard sign for "Struten II".
Who can help to clarify the boats history from the mid 60's to the end of the 70's?

- The first Struten of the konsortium with Finn Ferner was totally damagaged and the new Struten II was built 1962. It was with Ira best boats in Norway during season 1962. Finn Ferner wins the first King Olav Cup, which is the most important 5.5 Cup in Norway. 1963 three boats, Fram III, Figaro and Struten II were transported to Long Island USA for the World Championship races. Struten II is 7th, Fram III 8th and Figaro 15th. They also represent the Old World in Sir Alfred Bossoms Cup with success. From Mikkel Thommessen's article in Seilas nr 5 1993(Norwegian yachting magazine).

- In 1901, before a lighthouse was established on Struten, a sound buoy was put out (an “organ” known as “Strutekua” or “the Struten Cow”) just north of the island. From Norsk fyrhistorisk forening.
