- Ray Hunt made four basic designs 1) Quixotic 2) Minotaur 3) Chaje 2 and 4) Ca-Ro 6 with three duplicates. 1961 the hottest design in the sailing world was the 2nd design of Minotaur. Hunt produced 11 design variations 2b of Minotaur design 2. This variation has the traditional transom!

- Warren Muir reports: KA-9, "Southern Cross". Built by William (Bill) Barnett 1961, owned by Norman G Booth. She capsized in a squall and was lost on Sydney harbor while racing in 1977.
