Mr. Stubenrauch where did you ever get the information that Buddy Melges built the Fire storm. I Warren Muir designed and built this boat for Mr. Albert Fay. Mr. Melges contributed to some of the rigging and boom design, if that puts you on the list as the designer then I need to be added to a whole lot of the boats. If anybody wants to know any information about any of my design work feel free to contact me.

In the builder list of this database generally the owner/chairman of the respective company is mentioned. In the case of Melges Boatworks it has to be mentioned that the son of Buddy, Harry Melges III, has been instrumental in initiating the building of 5.5's, hence credit is being given to his part, here.
