Notes
- Building process - 30.06.2008 by Site Administrator
- Third 5.5 build by Josi Steinmayer after SUI-177 and SUI-180 from the negative mould of SUI-169 imported from Charlie Capelle (La Trinité sur Mer, FRA).
What is remarquable to remember is that it is a cold laminated wood building in a FEMALE mould. Josi put a "dead" layer of 4 mm in the mould, then the true biaxial layers of wood, then unmoulding, throwing the dead wood away and replacing it (like positively moulded on a plug) by a 5 mm longitudinal layer of Sipo mahohany that have been then finelly sanded to 4 mm, the targeted hull shape.
"Why making it simple when you could do it complicated ?"
A famous quotation from Les Shadoks (see youtube or www.ina.fr)
- Name to be corrected - 08.10.2007 by Site Administrator
- Skylla III, not Skilla III
